Dr. Pietro Comba studied biological sciences at the University of Rome and later earned his doctoral degree at the University of Linkoeping, Sweden under the supervision of Prof. Olav Axelson. Dr. Comba is Head of the Unit of Environmental Epidemiology at the Italian National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità) and his research activity includes epidemiologic studies of populations exposed to fibers, industrial carcinogens, toxic wastes and electromagnetic fields.
